Chapter 2: A Plan Fit for a Queen

By: Wing

"Snow, did you know that huntsman? He sure acted like he knew you."

Ferdinand always got jealous. Sometimes, Snow thought about giving him a reason to be jealous.

"Hm, I might have seen him before when I was a kid. I don't remember, it was a long time ago."

"Well, regardless of whether or not you know him, if his statements today have any merit, we need to come up with a plan, and quickly!"

As much as Snow hated to admit it, Ferdinand was right. The queen before her, Ferdinand's mother Bethesda, hated that she had been ousted by Snow's marriage to Ferdinand. Since that day, she had been plotting to somehow get her throne back. These plans had ranged from simple pranks being played on Snow, to trying to frame her for treason. But this was new. Never had she resorted to violence to win back her throne. Snow was going to have to come up with a strategy to either stop this attack before it happened or defeat these armies when they attacked.

"Ferdinand, my dear, let's find a way to nip this in the bud. I propose we find some way to stop them from congregating at all before they attack! We can-"

"I know! We can impose a new law that requires gatherings of 10 or more people to request permission before they meet up!"

"Right, because that would certainly stop them in their tracks!" What an idiot... "I think a better plan would be to either make them question their loyalty to your mother, or to question the cause they are fighting for." Either one of them shouldn't be that difficult if they've met your mother...

"What's that? You mumbled a bit at the end there."

"Oh, did I say that out loud? Sorry, just brainstorming." You twit.

If the armies questioned why they were doing what they were doing, it would be simple to have them abandon their quest, or better yet, join Snow's army. That would be the ultimate blow the Bethesda.

But how?
